Hello All Homeowners,
I wanted to reach out to all of you and explain why we had problems with our power lines. One of the main transformers sits on the corner by Arline’s home. This is the last house on Avignon on the East side. The lines for the West side of Avignon run along the very end of the street and over to a smaller electrical box on the West side between my home and our neighbors.
Rocky Mountain found the break in our front yard next to our water meter. He believes the plumbing company nicked both power sources when they dug up our yard 5 years ago. This is when we had the main water line break to the homes on Avignon and over time water damaged these lines. They said both lines had been damaged and it was just a matter of time before the 2nd leg would fail. I thought this would be beneficial to tell all of you for future board members/homeowners when we have water breaks.
Last night we had a power interruption while they reconnected everything back together. This was not great timing for Yankees fans when the batter hit and then the power was cut so they didn’t know what happened unless they watched the replay on their phones.
I am very grateful to our utility workers who work all hours of the day and night to keep us all supplied with power to our homes.
Please let me know if for some reason you are still having issues but all should be repaired.
Have a great Sunday!
Cori Barnes
